Half a dozen oysters for 15! The best place for the freshest oysters in North Seattle. Wonderful food, drinks, and ambiance. Not a boring cocktail in sight. Even the zero proof drinks have so much pizzazz.Sat near bar and could see all the drinks being made and several times my date said, “we need to come back and try all of these!” the small plates are just astonishing in their variety and quality. Pictured here are the clams that had an amazing chorizo broth with a slice of toast piled high with smashed avocado. Generous portion of almonds, and we’ve made a plan to come back with another girlfriend, and eat through each of the small plates. Attentive service, and a great vibe throughout the place. A treasure tucked away just off Greenwood Avenue N and 85th. Update. Went back and took friends. They were they were equally impressed. There’s a new price drop on the half dozen oysters which are incredibly popular. That they are very fresh and come out on beautiful black stones. The calamari salad is incredibly fresh. Add the duck prosciutto with pickled vegetables and a warm cheese biscuit to die for. I’d love it if they made the cheese biscuit out of entirely separate order. We could’ve inhaled those all at night.

Food was incredible! Beautiful, fresh, delicious, elegant, and comforting. Pair that with cocktails that were vibrant and smooth, we had such an amazing experience! Service was great and the dishes recommended were some of my favorites! Really elegant restaurant, very cute and stylish. Only thing I didn’t love was how it didn’t feel very private. Literally felt like I was there with the people seated on either side of me. Not a big deal though. Can’t wait to return!!

Bar Sur Mer has been on my list for some time, and it was well worth the wait. Incredible cocktails, food, service, and atmosphere. The octopus was cooked perfectly (nice and tender), the basque cheesecake reminded me of what we had in San Sebastian. This place is definitely worth visiting! For constructive feedback though: the torrijas was way too dense and dry IMO, it should be lighter and more moist. But that was really the only thing that I would change or improve, everything else was so delicious! We will definitely be back again soon!

This PLACE IS SUCH A VIBE from the seating to the music. The atmosphere near the bar is so relaxing The plants really bring the energy! Oh did I mention they cook right next to the bar so it’s kinda open to see.. you’ll have this nice selections on the menu to pick thru! They’ll bring them out little by little and when I say they are packing a punch of different flavors I mean it it These are a few things I picked thru shoutout to the owners this is a fire spot

A beautiful space to enjoy a cocktail and some apps. They do take reservations now which is nice and I was able to grab one the day before I was hoping to visit. The space is beautiful, bright and sophisticated yet relaxed at the same time. The cocktail menu had a section for gin & tonics which is perfect for the spring/summer weather. The grapefruit gin cocktail was both delicious and beautiful. The food portions are on the smaller size so plan to order-up. There's also a very heavy use of olives which was tough to navigate for someone that doesn't overly love them. That being said, the beef tartare, calamari and endive salad were all delicious. If possible try to sit away from the windows as odd as that sounds. There was a houseless person begging for money with passing traffic which made for a disappointing juxtaposition while enjoying my time here.

I wanted to try this place for a while and finally managed to treat ourselves down there . The interior design is very enjoyable , calm, relaxing and tastefully done . The food was good without being something to write more about but the drinks were delicious . This place being a « tapas » small plate kind of plate I would highly recommend it for appetizers or a romantic getaway , I’ll rate it 5 stars as it’s a really nice spot to have around and I really enjoyed it .

Came here by accident when other plans fell apart and loved it. Yes, it is pricey. Sure, the portions are smaller but it’s tapas! Either way, delicious and beautiful. Nice service too!!

What a beautiful, sexy, classy restaurant! If you want to feel sexy just stop in and let the vibe take you away ! By far one of my fav spots I had the Woodfire Hongos Charred Mediterranean octopus And the Basque cheese cake ( every bite made me weak ) And the most refreshing drink ive had in a while !! Can’t wait to come back
